CASE STUDY 1

VITRINE AT THE RITZ PARIS

ONE MOON CASHMERE

Design and installation of a vitrine at the storied Ritz Paris.

As a small West Coast brand, the goal was to bring California mystique while feeling at home amongst the storied European luxury brands.  DeGourany gold leaf paper was complimented by traveling to the redwood forests of Northern California to find the perfect wedge of burl wood that would give the vitrine an organic west coast vibe.

DeGournay gold leaf paper was used as a continuation of the elegance of the Ritz, while a redwood burl shelf sourced from the foggy coastal forests of Northern California brought an untamed organic element.

MALIBU PIER RESTAURANT

MALIBU PIER PARTNERS

Provided the design details to make an ocean front restaurant feel like a Malibu beach house.

Worked with the owner to curate artwork that had a common Malibu thread including works by Dennis Hopper, David Hockney, Ed Ruscha, Alexander Calder and Leroy Granis. Designed and installed large rope light installation from rafters of the dining room (now Malibu Farm).

For a local touch, worked with a ceramic maker to create one of a kind dishware, sourced local flowers from the hills above Malibu, incorporated surf conditions into the menus design.

Contributions were noted in Architectural Digest, C Magazine, the Hollywood Reporter and won best restaurant design by LA Weekly.

MOON FEATHER ICON

ONE MOON CASHMERE

Developed a brand icon that married the moon with spiritual symbolism that captured the elan of the brands founder.

First came the idea to wrap a feather into a crescent moon. From there, it took a back and forth exchange with an artist to bring the idea to a pencil sketch. Then it was an Australia based illustrator who took the ethereal sketch and translated it into the final the final working vector icon.

The feather moon has been since been woven into cashmere by a Como, Italy mill and forged into precious metal & stone by jewelry designer Kathy Rose.

MIU MIU SUMMER CLUB

MALIBU PIER PARTNERS

Helped Miu Miu bring to life a global showcase on the Malibu Pier.

Miu Miu wanted to take over the Malibu Pier for a party. My job was to be the liaison to shepherd the event, designed as global showcase for the brand, while also balancing the need to keep the beloved State Park functioning as a tourist destination and working pier. My experience with the Pier as well as in luxury fashion were put to use in ushering the event through planning to the big star studded night.
