JOSHUA KLEIN is the photographer and visual director behind Joshua Tree Studio LLC .  He is based in Malibu, California.  

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Connecticut, raised in Paris and educated in New York.  

Klein had good fortune of a childhood with a big backyard in Connecticut before his family dispatched to Paris for his teen years.  With Paris as his new backyard, he was able to indulge his new interest in photography with museums, galleries and the darkroom at Parsons Paris at his disposal.  After completing his internationally diverse high school experience, it was off to New York to continue his study of photography with a healthy dose of graphic design & art history at Parsons School of Design.  

While at Parsons, Klein began to work at the Ralph Lauren mansion in what was to become a ten year career culminating in his becoming in-house photographer for the design house.  While here, he used every bit of vacation time to run back to Paris or Africa to grow his body of work.  

With an itch for a new chapter (& a new climate), Klein boarded a plane on his thirtieth birthday bound for Los Angeles.  The West Coast has provided an eclectic range of experiences from living with surfers to a house in the Hollywood Hills, from giving Gidget rides to the 'bu to performing first aid on pelicans while being the Malibu "Pier Master".  

Klein currently resides in a beach shack in Malibu, California with his beagle/lab Mangetti.
